Join our woodturning classes and unleash your creativity with the enchanting craft of turning wood on a lathe. Whether you’re an absolute beginner or have had some experience, our expert instructors will guide you through the fascinating process of transforming raw timber into stunning works of art.
What You’ll Learn:
Introduction to Woodturning: Get acquainted with the tools, techniques, and safety protocols necessary for successful and safe woodturning.
Essential Woodturning Techniques: Discover various cutting, shaping, and finishing methods to create bowls, vases, and more.
Selecting the Right Wood: Learn how to choose the perfect wood for your projects based on grain patterns, durability, and aesthetic qualities.
Useful skill building projects: Students will learn to create 5-6 useful items, gradually increasing in difficulty as your skills progress – projects include: pepper grinders, basic bowls and lidded pots.

Cost is $250.00 per participant. This includes tuition, club membership from payment of fees to 30 June 2025 and name badge.
